Given the events of 13th November 2015 it was not surprising that very shortly after this story found its way into my head fully formed. This does not happen very often, but it does sometimes, and this was just such an occasion. Sometimes I like to write a Christmas story, and the obvious play on words of the title kind of pushed it in that direction, even if what the story is actually saying is perhaps not quite as obvious as that. Is there a message in there? I think there is, but I am not going to beat you about the head with it – the story certainly doesn’t after all! I will let you make your mind up for yourselves, for I find that after all when all is over and done, Silence can be the best solution of all.
